What is Fan Coil Unit . How can we calculate CFM ...

Answer / wasif arshad

in simple words it is a very small air handling unit and
suspended above the false ceiling. A small blower throws
air which when strikes with the coil becomes hot or cool as
the case may be.

CFM (cubic feet per minute) can be calculated by the help
of cfm meter. it simply consists of a fan and a display
unit. When the fan is taken in front of diffuser it rotates
with a fix speed depending on the speed of air. Fan is
connected with a switch which produces fix no of impules
depending on its speed. Hence these impulses are sent to
the display unit at which these impulese appear in the form
of cfm
