i want to know is it possible to generate usefull power by
coupling generator with motor & supply gives to motor by
battery source then generator generates power. remove the
battery source given to the motor & feed the supply from
some of the generated power supply to the motor & motor
runs continously. generator generate power contnously.is it
possible ?

i want to know is it possible to generate usefull power by coupling generator with motor & sup..

Answer / glen saldanha

No this is not possible This control is also called as ward
leonard control. in which motor and generator are coupled .
the reason why it will not work is because of the losses in
both the motor and the generator.the main losses is due to
friction.
it goes like this due to the friction in the generator this
apply more load on the motor, the motor will try to draw
more current from the generator.this will continue for some
time there will a point that the speed will slow and the
generator cannot fulfill the requirement of the motor and
eventually stop.

Answer / pillay

remember a few basic truths ,
you cannot make something out of nothing
nobody has made anything in this world only
transforming something to something else.

the answer your question is "impossible".

i want to know is it possible to generate usefull power by coupling generator with motor & sup..

Answer / vijay raskar

No,never.its impossible.because, total supply is zero. As battary create some kind of electricity. It is very less for motor to run.

i want to know is it possible to generate usefull power by coupling generator with motor & sup..

Answer / suresh5254

It is not possible.........to do so either motor or
alternator efficiency should be more than 100% which is not
possible.....
Ex.. let motor i/p power= P1
o/p power= p2
generator i/p power= q1
o/p power= q2
here p2 cannot be more than p1 ,lly q2 cannot be more than
q1 because of copper,friction and windage losses......so
obviously q2 lesser than p1....so motor cannot run

Note: Energy neither be created nor destroyed...only it can
be transferred from one form 2 other....

i want to know is it possible to generate usefull power by coupling generator with motor & sup..

Answer / saleem

Yes it is possible.

if the generator is generate more power then the motor
consumed.
OR
If motor is consume less power as compare generation of
power.

Exm If motor consume 1kw to rotate the alternator than
alternator generate 1.5kw then we can use .5 kw in other
uses.

Please Design such alternator and motor.
