Radar is based on Microwave and detects the change in
dielectric constant where as Ultrasonic is based on Sound
Wave at high frequency (Ultrasonic Wave) and detects change
in density of medium. Based on performance and accuracy
Radar is a better solution than Ultrasonic. However for
lower range liquid application ultrasonic is a cost
effective solution.

Radar uses microwaves to find the target parameters.
Ultrasonic uses sound waves to find the target.
Radar is best suited for the targets in air, on ground.
Ultrasonic transmitter is best suited for under water
targets.both uses the same principle ( i.e transmitting
signals and receiving the echos).sonar transmitter has more
noise compared to radar. radar find more applications.

For liquid measurment application, the radar signal did not
affected by temperature and pressure while the ultrasonic
signal strongly affected by temperature and weakly by
pressure.

RADAR LEVEL TRANSMITTER IS BASED ON RADIO WAVES I.E MICROWAVE DETECTION AND RANGING WHERE AS ULTRASONIC TRANSMITTER IS BASED ON SOUND MEASUREMENT (ULTRASONIC SOUND MEASUREMENT)
IN RADAR TYPE THERE IS NO EMISSION OF SOUND.
THERE IS NOTHING LIKE BEST AND ACCURATE IT TOTALLY DEPENDS UPON WHAT TYPE OF CHEMICAL YOU ARE USING.
ULTRASONIC IS BEST FOR LIQUID MEASUREMENT.

RADAR IS .. LENCE WAVE BASED.. IN INDUSTRIES ,,, MOSTLY USED RADAR CAUSE ITS PERFECT MEASUREMENT AND HAVING ZERO ZERO ACCURACY .. WE ARE USING 10 YEARS OLD RADAR L.T. .. BUT STILL ITS WORKING PERFECTLY .. NO ANY PROBLEM FOUND ..
AND YEAH.. ULTRASONIC IS SOUND WAVE BASED APPLICATION..
BUT RADAR IS.. 10000000 % PERFECT THAN ANY OTHER ... L.T.
