What is power factof?..

Answer / hardworker

Powerfactor is defined as the cosine of the angle between
voltage & current.pf=kW/kVA.It is the ratio of power
utilized to the power delivered.pf depends on the type of
load.
If the load is inductive,pf is lagging.
If the load is capacitive,pf is leading.
If the load is resistive,pf is unity.
pf can be found out from the power triangle.

What is power factof?..

Answer / avinash gupta

cosine of angle between voltage and current...so cos fi..

it is a ratio of resistance to impedence..cos fi=r/z

its a ratio between active power/apprent power...=vicosfi/vi
=cosfi

What is power factof?..

Answer / manasa

Power factor is the ratio between active (real) power to
the apparent power i.e
PF = P/(√P2+Q2)

The power factor can also be calculated from the following
equation provided that the phase difference between the
current and voltage have been measured:

PF = Cosφ

What is power factof?..

Answer / ashok

power Factor is the Cosine of the angle between real
power & apparant power
power factor = KW/KVA

What is power factof?..

Answer / dave.vimal

PF Is

1.Cosine angle between voltage and current.

2.IT IS THE RATIO OF RASISTANCE AND TOTAL INPEDNCE OF THAT
CIRCUIT AND DENOTED BY COS PHI.
P.F. = R/Z
3.RATIO BETWEEN ACTIVE POWER AND APPARANT POWER IS CALLED
POWER FACTOR.

POWER FACTOR= ACTIVE POWER/APPARANT POWER
= VICOS/VI

If the load is inductive,pf is lagging.
If the load is capacitive,pf is leading.
If the load is resistive,pf is unity.
pf can be found out from the power triangle
