Can anybody tell the formula to calculate temparature rise in the cable with respect to current?
Answer / 7anoter4
The temperature rise in a conductor of a cable depends on
lot of factors as-for instance-:
1) The current supply way :continuous, intermittent, short-
time.
2) the cable ambient medium: air[free open, conduit, cable
tray], underground[direct, in conduit or in duct]
3) number of cable and distance between them
4) current frequency d.c.,50 or 60 Hz[ conductor resistance
depends on frequency]
5) other source of heat in vicinity-hot pipes, sunshine or
other.
