what is thermal setting and magnetical setting?
Answer / sudhakar.g
Thermal Seeting:
The thermal settings are mainy overload settings, If you seen in ACB there is a setting of Ir that is thermal setting if you set the point at 8 means it will give protection more than 80% of full load Ex: 3200A ACB if the settings are in 8 means it will trip when the load reaches 2560A
Magnetic Setting:
The magnetic settings are shortcircuit settings, If you seen in ACB there is a setting of Isd = 3 x 3200 = 9600A- Time delay = 2 milli sec that is the example if u put the setting in 3 means
