Sourcing mean we are giving +ve from the field and -ve is common through PLC and sinking mean we are giving -ve from the field and +ve is common through PLC

When supply is is given to the bulb or any device through
the switch button (toggle switch), at that time switch is
the sourcing and the bulb is the sinking.
In PLC input card is sinking and output card is sourcing
