OVER CURRENT RELAY?

Answer / chinnaraj eee
While designing any type relay we have to consider only the
current through the operating coil of the circuit breaker
and NO & NC contacts of the relay. i.e, only it will sense
the current flow a.nd fed to circuit breaker which results
interrupting the current flow in the line.

For the Over Current Relay, (Mostly CT operated)it will be considered the Ct secondary current either 1A or 5A depends on the system design. Mostly today's digital relays are having the option to select between the range.
Also the time for interrupting the flow of current when the over current phenomena arises. Time setting will be range bound, so that the user can decide.

While designing any type relay we have to consider first
the current setting of the breaker which is sensing to
relay operating coil.if it take more than its rated current
then it trips the relay which is connected to equipments.
