Transformation Ratio, R = IPri / ISec for a C.T.
and R = VPri / VSec for a P.T.
Turns Ratio, n = Nsec / NPri for a C.T.
= NPri / NSec for a P.T

Turn ratio is the ratio of the number of turns in the primary winding to that in the secondary winding. But transformation ratio is the ratio of the primary to the secondary induced voltage. In an ideal transformer both are same but in a practical transformer there is a small difference between the two as the voltage(or current) are not transferred exactly as the ratio(inverse ratio in case of current transformation) of their turns ratio. But there is some error due to constructional limitations

Answer / vivek opjit
turns ratio= no. of turns in secondary/ no. of turns in primary &
transformation raio is depend upon operation of transformer i.e., if transformer is step up (N2>N1) than transformation ratio may be defined as
transformation ratio= N2/N1 also.
