how can you set a zero and span of transmitter?
Answer / bunny
First give the LRV(Lower Range Value)to the transmitter.If
it is an electronic transmitter,the o/p should be 4mA.If it
is a pneumatic transmitter,the o/p should be 3psi.If we are
not getting the above values,adjust the zero screw in the
transmitter by a screw driver,till we are getting 4mA or
3psi.This is called zero adjustment.Simillarly give URV
(Upper Range Value) to the transmitter.So the output for
electronic and pneumatic transmitters should be 20mA and
15psi respectively.If we are not getting it,adjust the span
screw in the transmitter by a screw driver till we are
getting 20mA or 15psi.This is called span adjustment.
LRV & URV:Suppose the range of a transmiter is 0-30psi.Then
LRV=0psi & URV=30psi.

When doing a liquid seal on a differential flow transmitter , most of the time the sealing liquid will be heavier then the process fluid. For wich application will the sealing liquid be lighter than the process fluid if transmitter is mounted below the process line.
my temperature transmitter in field showing 700 degree , whereas in dcs showing 459 degree, how to resolve this?
i feel sq. pipe is better than round pipe pls give comment for this. advance thanks for reply
i want the equation of this question. Tranmitter range is 120 mmwc and dcs flow range is 1700 nm3/hr. if i want to change dcs range from 1700 to 2400 nm3/hr then how much dp i have to enter in transmitter
