how can you set a zero and span of transmitter?
Answer Posted / bunny
First give the LRV(Lower Range Value)to the transmitter.If
it is an electronic transmitter,the o/p should be 4mA.If it
is a pneumatic transmitter,the o/p should be 3psi.If we are
not getting the above values,adjust the zero screw in the
transmitter by a screw driver,till we are getting 4mA or
3psi.This is called zero adjustment.Simillarly give URV
(Upper Range Value) to the transmitter.So the output for
electronic and pneumatic transmitters should be 20mA and
15psi respectively.If we are not getting it,adjust the span
screw in the transmitter by a screw driver till we are
getting 20mA or 15psi.This is called span adjustment.
LRV & URV:Suppose the range of a transmiter is 0-30psi.Then
LRV=0psi & URV=30psi.
