I came across a site with all details in Google ,but can not
retrace it now. However ,I am furnishing the following from
the other sites.1.The KVARH meter has a displacement angle
(-90')for current coil lagging the voltage in voltage coil
where KWH meter has zero degree displacement angle.2. The EM
meter (for 3 phase power)feeds power of each line(phase)
through it and disc spins for either WH or VAH .The only
difference for VARH meter is that there is an equipment for
displacement of voltage by 90'.This can be an auto
transformer or RC circuit. From my first reply, you can see
that the line voltage YB is at 90' to R

I do not have any book now and I have given answer from my
memory of what I studied 40 years ago. You are sure to find
it in 'Google.'

I think we had a book called' electrical measurements' by
E.W. Golding ,published by ELBS. The price was about Rs 16/-

Dear K.prakashchandra
Convincing answer, but I need to make sure
For the reason that there are those who say that the only
difference is that in var-hour meter voltage coils are Delta
connected .
And in kilo watt-hour meter voltage coils are star connected.
Please confirm information on the displacement of angle,
because I had read about it before.
thanks

In Google go to search field "meter for measuring var' and
go to the link No.2 i.e.(pdf) V ?......their connection---in
which you get all the details required.
