HOW WE MEASURE A DRUM LEVEL BY DP TRANSMITTER ? WHAT IS ITS
FORMULA ?

Drum level can be measured by , first find the pressure difference between H.P and L.P,so that we can find the differential pressure. then by using the formula p=density*gravity*height , we knew the pressure now, then density and gravity also we knew, then find height.

first of all we have to measure the height of the drum.
for example if u take the height of the drum is 1meter
(1000mm).
next we have to mesure the head pressure by using this
formula
P=density*gravity*height
gravity is constant so neglect it
density of water is 1 so
P=1*1000=1000mm of water column
so we have to calirate the transmitter with -1000 to 0 mm
of water column.
low range value=-1000
high range value=0
since the water pressure is always appliied on the low
pressure side the transmitter shows -1000mm for zero level
and 0 for high level ie 1 meter
