reactive power is used for produse megnetising field,so it
is controlled by changing exitation of alternator field, and
in the line it is used by connecting capacitor bank, which
draw leading current, improve p.f nd controll reactive
power.....munawar.ahmed.anara@gmail.com

Answer / vinod
In transmission system total reactive power is known and
distributed to different generating station(by excitation
different station feed their reactive power. But their is a
limit for max. reactive load from a generator. In the case
of additional requirement capacitor bank serve the purpose)
