Answer / sjtbehera
Ratio is cement mortar = 1:5 Thickness of plaster is 12mm
Let's calculate 1 sqm
volume of mortar= .012 x 1 = .012cum
Increase 20% for filling joints and wastage = .012x1/5
= .0144cum
when dry calculate volume of moratr by increasing 30%
= .0144+1/3x.0144= .0192 cfum ( dry)
total ratio = 1+5=6
.0192/6= .0032cum cement 1bag cement=.0347cum
so when we calculate 1 bag of cement total area cover-
1/.0032x.0347= 10.84 sqm

1:5 ratio for 50kG cement, 50*5kG SAND
10SqM FOR -0.014CUM CEMENT ARE USED
SO 1440/5=288
288/50=5.76
5.76/0.014=411.28
411.28/35.314=11.65
SO : 11.65 Sqm

Answer / manimaran>g
100sqfReq.cement=0.75bags
so, o75bags=37.5kg
1kgcovered plaster area=100/37.5
=2.666667*50
=133.33sq.ft
=133.33/10.76
=12.39sq.m
so,one covered plaster area=12.39sq.m

For 1 sq.m plastering in CM (1:5) with 12 mm thickness,
cement required is 4 kg.
Therefore, in 1 bag (50 kg.) of cement one can do plastering
for an area of 50/4 = 12.5 sq.m.
