DxDxL/162.20
D in mm
l in meter
now
8x8x1/162.20=0.3945 kg/m

we could use the following formula which is : 617*(d^2) * (10^-5) >>>>>> d is a diameter of the bar ...
it will give the unit weight as kg , lets try 8 mm bar
unit weight = (64)*(617)* (10^-5)= .395=.4 :)

MR NAVEED KHAN the crude and desi system of caculating is
very helpful and quite accurate. try it you will not regeret.
8 mm dia plz calculate accordingly 8 x 8 x .00617 = 394 gms
Say 0.4 kgs per / meter. Like wise you can caculate any
size of round bars even if the size 95 mm dia, you can
calculate accordingly ie 95x95x0.00617 = 55.68 say 55.7 kgs
per meter.

The simplest answer to calculate weight of any steel bar,
1) D squre / 52.91 = wt of steel in kg/ft (D=dia of steel bar in 1/8 inches
2) D squre x 0.006161 = Wt of steel bars in kg/mtr (D =dia of steel bar in mm.
D Squre = D X D

Weight of 8 mm diameter reinforcement steel
considered density of steel = 7850 kg/mm2
formula is = 3.14 / 4 x d x d x 1 x 7850
d = diameter of bar
e.g.= 3.14/4 x 0.008 x 0.008 x 1 x 7850
= 0.394 KG/RMT
for further dia please change value of dia only.

Other method for find weight of round steel bars
See steel table by r.Agor
Page no 72.
Given the different diameter
And weight per meter
For example 8mm dia of steel.Cross section area is 0.50
And weight is given 0.4kg/m and 3.9n
