why an ideal voltage source has low internal resistance????

why an ideal voltage source has low internal resistance????..

Answer / bala

ideal voltage source voltage is constant at all loads. so that
it should have low internal resistance to minmise I2r loss due
to current. therfore it has low internal resistance.

For polarity test on a 11/3.3kV 2.5MVA delta-star Unit Auxiliary transformer,415V 3-phase supply was applied at the HV. Connection between Aa was made with a 2.5mm cable. As soon as power was switched on the cable caught fire and burnt. This test was then abandoned. It is noteworthy to say that a similar cable was also used in a similar transformer for the same. The cable did not burn and test was successfully completed with good result. What is wrong? Please, help me out.

I have 11KV/415V power distribution transformer. I have found unbalance current in LT (415V) side. Also observed that unbalance voltage (3V) at LV side due to HV side unbalance voltage. What should I check for this? Also, the same LV side load can run in balance on captive power.

11KW Delta motor is taking about 44Amps in star and goes upto 70Amps in delta and trips OFF. The rated current is 26Amps. Application is for the blower. The motor takes ( no load without coupling impller ) only 2.5A and 5Amps in star & delta starter test.Need to know why its taking high current.
