Explain different parts of an instruction. What does the
addressing mode bit specifies?
Answer / Tapish Kumar Singh
An instruction consists of several parts including the opcode (operation code), addressing mode, and operands. The opcode defines the operation to be performed by the microprocessor. The addressing mode determines how the microprocessor accesses the data for the operation, either directly or indirectly. The addressing mode bit specifies the type of addressing mode being used.
