Configuration means - configure the application according
to your requiremnt.
Customization means alter / change /create forms , reports
according to your organization requiremnts.
interface means connect your apps with other 3rd part
application

Customization means we are customizing the standard object
(Report/Form) which provided by oracle applications.
Interface means whcih data comes from third party .. and we
are loading into the system.
Configuration means just like installation of software.

Customization means changing the source code of forms.
Interfacing is used for importing/exporting data from any
third party softwares
Configuration means enabling the setup for business
requirement.

You might have heard the term: RICE (Reports, Interface,
Customization and Extensions). The latest addition to this
is FRICE with Forms added to the list.
Basically, as others have pointed Customization involes
modifying the existing functionality. In other words, If
you customize, Oracle will not support it.
