Tell Me what is the Requirement of Cooling of Hydrulic Oil
in Hydraulic system

Answer / kuntal
In Hydraulic Systems we have differents parts inside the
hydraulic cylinder.
A piston is one amoung them which has Piston rings and
Steels Diaphragms around the Piston.
Now The Piston with the Piston rings moves inside the
Cylinder. But if There is no cooling provided in a Hydraulic
system there will be Uneven Expansion of The Piston and The
Piston rings which will lead to misalignment between them
and therefore more friction between them and it will
restrict the sliding movement of the piston in the cylinder.
Also, there is chances of corrosion of the piston walls and
hence Leakage of Oil across the Piston which will lead to
reduced hydraulic pressure generation than reqd.
This will lead to improper functioning of the piston in the
cylinder and hence cooling is needed to control the
expansion of components inside a hydraulic system.

Due to the change of temparature in hydraulic oil , it effect in change of viscosity of oil and so various problem in hydraulic system's component are created like leackage, wear , enery loss by pressure loss so cooling requirement must at certain level of temparature increased.

Answer / sat
in hydraulic systems, oil is heated due to compressions
this may lead to changes in effect due to various thermal
effects.
to reduce this effect in a larger scale, hydraulic systems
have facility for cooling the hydraulic oil and recirculate.

i am very much confused about direction of thrust in steam turbine...we have steam turbine of 13 stages,10 stages of impulse and 3 of reaction type....in study manual direction of thrust is towards inlet but on thrust bearing its loading side is towards condenser(exhaust side) wile also dummy ring is present in design which also restrict rotor to move in exhaust side direction not inlet ....
