Tell Me what is the Requirement of Cooling of Hydrulic Oil
in Hydraulic system
Answer Posted / kuntal
In Hydraulic Systems we have differents parts inside the
hydraulic cylinder.
A piston is one amoung them which has Piston rings and
Steels Diaphragms around the Piston.
Now The Piston with the Piston rings moves inside the
Cylinder. But if There is no cooling provided in a Hydraulic
system there will be Uneven Expansion of The Piston and The
Piston rings which will lead to misalignment between them
and therefore more friction between them and it will
restrict the sliding movement of the piston in the cylinder.
Also, there is chances of corrosion of the piston walls and
hence Leakage of Oil across the Piston which will lead to
reduced hydraulic pressure generation than reqd.
This will lead to improper functioning of the piston in the
cylinder and hence cooling is needed to control the
expansion of components inside a hydraulic system.
