You can Study these guides as pdf documents you can prepare
completely the only thing is that you should get the

BO is used as a reporting tool. if u want to generate
report u need to access database. oracle and teradata are
the two databases which are widley used. SQL is the only
way we can access data in databases.
we can get data from the legacy systems also, but the
historical data(huge in quantity)wont be there. so the
concept of dataware housing is used. to load data to
datawarehouse we need ETL tools.
wat i meant to say is if u want to get into BI ofcourse u
need to know the whole datewarehousing concepts (ri8 from
ETL to reporting). if not in depth, but the beginner level
of knowledge will help u a lot.

I have 2 doubts regarding the "Input Control" functionality in BI4: 1) Can the Input Controls in BI4 be manipulated? I mean, can we change the IC display as BOLD or change the values from Italics to regular? Or change the colors? 2) How to get hierarchy type control in IC? Let's say my first IC is for Country and second is for State. If I select a particulat country from Ist IC,second one should show me states belonging to selected country. Is that possible? working with Business Objects 6.1(a), i m facing a problem. when i save the BO report containing chart aswell as table in .xls then the null vlues in the table automatically are converted to 0, thereby istorting the chart also. please provide me the solution as soon as possile.
