what is the diff b/w excel 2000 and excel 2002 sheets if any

In Excel 2000, data is shown in a single excel sheet.If the
cognos report have multiple report pages to be displayed,
excel 2000 is not a right choice.
If the cognos report have multilpe report pages to be
displayed, excel 2002 is the correct choice as it can show
multiple report pages output in multiple worksheets in a
single excel file.

There are multiple versions of Excel output for backwards
compatibility reasons.
CSV - raw data, no formatting, only possible with single
Query reports. Delivered in email as a .CSV file.
Excel 2000 Single Sheet - all report pages rendered to one
Excel 2000 worksheet. Delivered in email as a .HTML file.
Excel 2002/2003 - each report page is rendered to its own
Excel 2002/2003 worksheet, in a single Excel 2002/2003
workbook. Delivered in email as a .MHT file.
So the difference will be type of extension of the the file
and the way the report O/P gets generated.

Excel 2000 having limitation upto 65,536 rows and 236
columns.
Excel 2002 doesnot have limitation.

cognos 8 can produce reports in excel foramt.three options
are available:
EXCEL 2000 single sheet:in this we can see the data earlier
than 2002.
EXCEL 2000 :You can view the data Microsoft EXCEL versions
2002 and later
EXCEL 2002:You can view the data Microsoft EXCEL versions
2002 and later

hi, while opening the cognos8 in ie,the home page is coming,while clicking the report studio the blank page will come after it will showing the home page.But by clicking the cognos connection,Query studio in the same page it's open successfully. only for the report,analysis,event studio is not working properly.i didnot understanding the problem.Iam using the cognos8.1 and sql server 2005.and also checking the cognos connection by clicking the run and its success. Any one Knows pls tel me in detail,becoz its very important iam working in report studio...
