Restricting the Electric Field Vectors of the light
propagating, in a particular direction it is called
Polarisation.
light wave travelling in z direction and electrci and
magnetic components in x and y respectively.
When Electric components are in x direction Ex exists and
Ey=0 then Horizontal
when Ex=0 and Ey exists then Vertical polariastion.

Polarization indicates the direction of eletrical field
(Electromegnatic waves has two component one is electrical
field and second is megnatic field) w.r.t. ground.
If the electrical component of tne electromegnatic wave is
parallel to ground then the waves are horizentally
polarized. If it is perpendicular to ground then the wave is
vertically polarized.
There are also other types of polarizations e.g.
Elliptically polarized, circularlly polarized etc

Polarisation indicates the direction of electic field at a
given point as a function of time.
When a wave travels in z direction with electric and
magnetic feild lying in xy plane it is said to be
horizontally polarised wave.here Ey=0 and Ex is present.
If Only Ey is present and Ex is 0 then it is called
vertically polarised wave.

Polarization is a plane in which waves propagate with
respect to earth
when waves propagte horizontal to the earth that called
vertical and when waves are parallal then called horizontal

orientation of electromagnetic waves in particular
direction is termed as polarization.
vertical-up or down
horizontal-left or right

Answer / er. amandeep singla
polarization means orientation of elecric field vactor with
respect to ground.
when EM wave trvel parallel to ground surface then called
as horizontal polrized wave and when perpendicular to the
surfae then called as vertically polarized wave.
