plz do tell me therotically how to make a ckt using a pnp
transistor to operate a 24V relay. push button, diodes,
resistors, capacitor and one pnp transistors are available.

Answer / sonia
Apply a 24V to the base side with a resistor, emitter should
be grounded and output is taken from collector and add a
diode at collector side. Also put a capacitor for decoupling.

connect transistor in emitter follower configurations
means connect E terminal to gnd. connect relay on collector
apply req. biasing vlt. to transistor .
Connect diode parallel to relay to freewheel the energy
stored by the relay coil.
Also used resister to limit the current through base.

Answer / chandrajith o
circuit the pnp transistor in common collector mode.emitter directly shorted to Vcc ,use appropriate resistors to provide the potential divider bias for the base.connect the collector to gnd through the series combination of appropriate resistor, relay and pushbutton.when pushbutton is switched on ,the collector current which is approximately same as the emitter current flows, ther by the relay will be energised.use the diode parallel to relay to overcome the freewheeling effect.
