If Informatica Server cannot find a specified Session Parameter in the parameter file, it will use the default value or an error will occur depending on the configuration. By default, Informatica PowerCenter does not require parameters to be defined in the parameter file for a session to execute. However, if you have configured your workflow to only accept valid parameters, an error will be thrown when a missing parameter is encountered.
