Can a Tester test any application without Specifications/Requirements?..

Answer / rajesh

This is called Worst Case Scenario where u dont know the
Exact Functionallity and ur asked to Test...I feel for
adhoc testing u should need good Domain Knowledge it means
indirecltly he knows the Requirement so Tester Cannot Test
any application without Specification...Because Functional
Spec are Bible for the Tester....let me know if i am
wrong...............Rajesh [Infosys]

Can a Tester test any application without Specifications/Requirements?..

Answer / shalini

I think Yes.To test it's important that you know the
requirements and a person can know the requirement once
going through the system.
If you want to test the system you have to run through the
system, and through you'll understand the system and can
find bugs also, because according to your understanding may
be there are some functionality, UI's, outputs etc. which
are not proper.
And this shows your ability to understand the system and
finding the real bug.
