constant and motor rpm increase.what is the effect on
pressure and flow.

Answer / nader moustafa
Both the flow and the pressure will increase based on the
affinity law. Which say . if the RPM increase by a factor
of 2 the new flow increase also by a factor of 2. Whereas
the pressure or head of the pump will increase by a factor
of 4 .

As RPM will increase , it will cause increase in Velocity
of Impeller, as diameter is fixed.
this increase velocity will inturen cause increase in
velocity of fluid.
So discharge: Q =AV
wil incraese

Answer / bn
The Affinity Laws predict pump capabilities for small
changes in a parameter.
For increased speed; the pump is capable of producing more
flow and more differential head.
What actually happens to a pump connected to a process
system depends on the system h-q characteristic. As there
are many h-q possiblities, there are many different
outcomes.
