In Cognos, there are three main types of gateways:
- Web Services Gateway: Used to access data from web services such as REST and SOAP.
- Relational Gateway: Used to connect to relational databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
- OLAP Gateway: Used to connect to online analytical processing (OLAP) systems like IBM Planning Analytics.
