Explain multivalued dependency?..

Answer / Faiz Kidwai

Multivalued Dependency (MVD) is another concept related to functional dependency. It exists when a single value of an attribute X determines multiple values of Y in a relation R. This means that for each unique value of X, there are multiple corresponding values of Y. MVD is important because it can lead to redundancy and anomalies in the database design.
