Explain a mapping, session, worklet, workflow, mapplet?..

Answer / Vinay Savita

1. Mapping: In ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, a mapping is a visual representation of the data flow between sources and targets. It defines how data should be extracted, transformed, and loaded into the target system.
2. Session: In web development, particularly JavaScript, a session refers to the state maintained by a server for a user during one visit or multiple visits to a website. Sessions are used to store information about the user's interactions with the site.
3. Worklet: A worklet is a web worker that runs on the client-side in modern browsers, allowing complex JavaScript tasks to be executed without blocking the main thread and improving performance.
4. Workflow: In BI (Business Intelligence), a workflow describes the sequence of operations or tasks that must be completed to achieve a specific business goal or process. It provides a visual representation of the steps involved in the process.
5. Mapplet: A mapplet is a small application within a larger web page, such as Google Maps, which displays additional data or functionality on top of the base map.
