application or a windows based application???

yahoo messenger is windows based application.
because through web url we can't access the yahoo messenger
window.
First we have to install messenger exe on desktops means it
is Fat client.

Hey it is windows based application but it can connect to
its sever through ports:80 which is for http and 443 which
is for ssl or https,do not let it confuse you.

To run the reglal yahoo messenger, you have to download the
application on your desktop and run it, so it is web based
application.
they have a web based version too, where you do not need to
download the application but run in your browser itself.
