What is the construction of a solar cell?
Answer / Ghanistha Kumar Maury
A solar cell consists of a semiconductor material (typically silicon) that absorbs photons from sunlight and converts them into electricity. The cell has a p-n junction, where positively charged holes and negatively charged electrons are separated by an electric field. When sunlight hits the cell, it generates electron-hole pairs, which are forced to move in opposite directions by the electric field, creating a current flow.
