What is a bjt? What are its advantages and disadvantages?
Answer / Kristu Rai Toppo
Bipolar Junction Transistor (BJT) is a three-terminal semiconductor device that can amplify or switch electrical signals. It consists of two p-n junctions, one between the base and emitter (BE junction) and another between the collector and emitter (CE junction). BJTs come in two types: NPN and PNP. Advantages of BJTs include linear operation with low distortion, high power handling capability, and temperature stability. However, they have some disadvantages such as a higher input impedance, slower switching speed compared to MOSFETs, and the requirement for more complex biasing circuits.
