What do you mean by drift velocity and mobility of a free electron?
Answer / Devesh Tripathi
Drift velocity (vd) is the average velocity that a free electron achieves when an electric field is applied to it. It depends on both the strength of the electric field and the charge carrier concentration. Mobility (μ) is a measure of how easily electrons can move through a material under the influence of an electric field. It is defined as the drift velocity per unit electric field.
