Define what is the main factor for controlling the thermal generation and recombination?
Answer / Manish Kumar Jha
The main factor that controls thermal generation (creation of electron-hole pairs due to temperature) and recombination (the meeting and pairing of an electron with a hole, annihilating both) in semiconductors is temperature. A higher temperature leads to increased thermal agitation, causing more generation and faster recombination.
