No. But in some companies they say people should be able to
write test cases without any reference documents. I had a
long argument with the interviewer for about 2 hours for
this.
I don't know how they are expecting this.

Internal test plans
some follows FRS/BRS

First read SRS Docment, and prepare Case Senario then
prepare a use case and UML (Unified Modeling Language)
document also helpful for preparing test cases.
