Define Grashof number and its significance?

Define Grashof number and its significance?..

Answer / Kunal Prasad

The Grashof
umber (Gr) is a dimensionless
umber used in fluid dynamics. It is defined as:nGr = (g * β * L^3) / (ν^2), where g is acceleration due to gravity, β is the temperature gradient, L is characteristic length, and ν is kinematic viscosity.
Its significance lies in predicting
atural convection, which occurs when a fluid is heated from below.
