actually in ac supply we are keeping current constant and variable quantity is voltage. capacitor has property of reacting towards the change in voltage. That's why capacitor stores charge when ac current pass through it and does not react for dc supply.Hence it shows reactance to ac supply.

If you see the HRC fuse name plate. Its shown ampere rating shown which is in many KA (like 80KA and so on). any body explain what is meaning of this value?
