In modern aeroplanes, there is IDG (Integrated Drive
Generator) which produces main electric power (115V
AC,400Hz) for all operations. APU (Auxiliary power unit)
generally being used to start the engine and supplies power
on ground when we park th aeroplane.

produce the electricity required for various operations of
the aircraft like cabin, instrumentals etc.,
