It is a static device which is working on the principle of
electrocmagnetic induction and transfer voltage from one
level to another level without change in frequency i.e
frequency remain same in primary as well as secondary.

ie when vtg reduces in secondary the current increases so as to keep the power in same value

IN CASE OF POWER TRANSFORMERS THE SECONDARY CURRENT CAN BE EASILY FOUND OUT BY JUST DIVIDING THE kVA RATING BY .75
