Transformer is a static device which transfer the electrical energy(power)from one circuit to another without change in frequency.It has 2 windings which has magnetically coupled but electrically isolated.

I don't understand why when we connect high voltage source in DC to electronic motor , we must add capacitor and resistor in parallel ?
