It is a temperature sensor which resistance is change according to the temperature and the instrument which using RTD is calibrated in terms of temperature changes.

RTD means Resistance temperature Detector
its resitance varies with respect to temperature .it has either positive temperature coefficiant or negative temperature coefficiant.

in adaptor circuit there is a transformer(it has four input & four output)which is used after rectifier .for what they are using this? they connect input between 1&4 and get output across 1&2 how it is possible?
