What is the method & formula of Fault level calculation in power Transformesr...

Answer / dinesh

since %impedance is the per unit value, u can get the short circuit fault current level by,

Ifault = Irated (phase current) / %z..

Similar method if u need fault level MVA....

What is the method & formula of Fault level calculation in power Transformesr...

Answer / k.prakashchandra

% impedance( Say P )= I rated x Z x 100 /V rated. Hence Z =
P x Vr /Ir x 100. Fault current If = Vr /Z .Then If= Ir x100/P
