This is Naveen Kumar from chennai. I have attended the jspl interview on
25th jan 2011. First there was a GD round and the topic was" HAS CREATION OF
SMALLER STATES IN INDIA LEAD TO DEVELOPMENT OR IS IT A FAILURE". There were
eleven members in the group from differnt branches. I didn't get much
opportunity to talk but i too spoke for some time emphasising on the fact
that it is just a way to capture power at a different level and division does
not gurantee development. There is no elimination in GD.

Next I was called for the interview. There was only one interviewer.
The questions asked were combination of technical and HR.

First he asked me to
Tell something about yourself which is not in your resume.then he asked From
Which area do you want questions machines,powersystems,power electronics?
I told power systems. Then he asked about ferranti effect indirectly and the
methods to overcome it. He asked about non conventional sources of energy and
asked me to write down the reaction in nuclear reactors. Then he asked about
my family background. Then he asked whether i would leave for high paid it
job. i said no. then he said thank you and i too thanked him and left.
