Answer / hems
It converts AC to DC but It is also used in DIODE AS A
RECTIFIER bcos in diode current flows in forward bias(as a
closed switch) and it blocks current in Reverse bias(as a
open switch).... So diode works as a RECTIFIER...

The magnitude of electrostatic force between two identical positive ions that are separated by a distance of 5.0 x 10– 10 m is 3.7 x 10–9 N. (a) What is the charge of each ion? (b) How many electrons are “missing” from each ion?
Consider sinc(x):where sinc(x)=sin (xpi)/xpi. and sinc(x) have max value i.e. unity at x=0 .now if x=0.then pix =0 and sin (pix)=0 at x=0. then above expression sin (xpi)/xpi.should be of 0/0 form i.e. in-determined form. then how sinc(x) is one at x=0. pi is constant.
