Although it is given that the monkey climbs 3mtrs in an hr
but the amount of time required to slip back 2 mtrs has not
been mentioned.So we can only say that the monkey will
require more than 6.6hrs.
3mtrs in 1hr
so,20mtrs in 6.6hrs
but since there is a slip of 2 meters it shall take more
than 6.6hrs.

just a question to the solvers who got 18hrs.how can you be sure about the monkey climbing proprly without slipping after 17mtrs have been completed?was it mentioned anywhere in the question?
If your logic would have been correct,the monkey climbing 3mtrs and then slipping 2mtrs in 1 hour then the answer would have been 20hrs
