how many project sources we can create in Metadata?

We can create number of project sources in Metadata.
But we can access one project source at a time in Microstrategy 8x.

Usually Metadata does not contain any information about project source THIS INFORMATION STORED SOME where with desktop client. and we can create any number of project sources.

We can create "N" number of project sources using same "server name" in MSTR Desktop.But it can access only one project source at the time.
