wat the bleddy answer ...if u dont know u shouldnt post tat
worst answers.....
nw see answer...
its nt 5 degrees dear tat 11 means it resembles 11 o clock
in a wall clock tat means it makes 30degrees.......
so tats it ther is phase between primary and secondary of
30degree
THIS IS A COMMERCIAL NOTATION OF TRANSFORMER

Answer / anil
the first letter must be capital one, which represents HV
winding while second letter should be lower case, which
represent LV winding of transformer.
1. 'D' - HV winding is delta connected & 'Y'- HV winding
is star connected
2. 'd' - LV winding is delta connected & 'y'- LV winding
is star connected
And rest of number indicating phase displacement angle
i.e 1 = 30°, 2 = 60°, 3 = 90°, 6 = 180° and 12 = 0° or
360°.
so
Dyn11 indicates,
Delta connected HV winding, star connected LV winding with
neutral brought out, LV is leading HV with 30°

i agree vid anil...to b more specific,Phase rotation is
always anti-clockwise. (international adopted convention)
we use the hour indicator as the indicating phase
displacement angle. Because there are 12 hours on a clock,
and a circle consists out of 360°, each hour represents
30°.
Thus 1 = 30°, 2 = 60°, 3 = 90°, 6 = 180° and 12 = 0° or
360°.
The minute hand is set on 12 o'clock and replaces the line
to neutral voltage (sometimes imaginary) of the HV winding.
This position is always the reference point.
Because rotation is anti-clockwise, 1 = 30° lagging (LV
lags HV with 30°)and 11 = 330° lagging or 30° leading (LV
leads HV with 30°)

I correct my self it is a 30 degree phase shift.
Thank's rajesh for your inputs.

DYn11 Means D=Delta, Y=Star, n=neutral, 11= 5degree phase
shift. This means there is a phase shift of 5 degree from
primary to secondary of a transformer.
