Hi,
Dimensions table is something that is called by the fact
table, so if you take the star schema for example the fact
is the center of the star schema and dimensions are like
the wings like of things,
so fact are usually the only one, the dimensions might vary
depending upon the requirements and needs'

Multi fact models exist as well. And number of facts and
dimensions depends on the model.
